THIS ROLE

The Marketing Specialist role is responsible for developing and managing all aspects of Norvado’s marketing strategy including Residential and Commercial verticals. In this position you will focus on creating, implementing, tracking and optimizing our digital and traditional marketing campaigns across all marketing channels. To be successful as a Marketing Specialist, you must be highly self-motivated, proactive and have a working knowledge of current marketing tools and strategies to execute successful marketing campaigns.

 The above is intended to describe the essential functions of the Marketing Specialist. Other duties may be assigned as required by business necessity.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Marketing Specialist your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Proven success at developing and implementing marketing plans.
  • Ability to conduct competitor/product/customer research and analyses.
  • Conducting market research to establish customer trends and habits. Including product life cycle, product growth/churn reporting and KPI management.
  • Establishing goals and objectives to reach our customers through appropriate marketing channels (digital and traditional).
  • Building and maintaining relationships with new and existing customers through prospecting and networking.
  • Promoting brand awareness through marketing efforts.
  • Creating marketing materials for our website and other marketing platforms.
  • Supporting the marketing team with marketing activities by demonstrating expertise in various areas including optimization, advertising, social media, direct marketing and event planning.
  • Assisting with the analyses of marketing data including campaign results, conversion rates and online traffic to improve future marketing strategies and campaigns.
  • Performing other duties as assigned by the Marketing Director when needed.
  • Adhere to Norvado's vision statement, company goals, and values and beliefs statements and reflect these commitments in all work performed every day.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, marketing or a related field is preferred.
  • Four or more years of marketing campaign experience (digital and traditional) in a corporate or agency environment is preferred. We want to see product specific, goal driven campaigns that produced results.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access), Adobe Creative Suite and CRM and MAP software.
  • Working knowledge of WordPress or other CMS.
  • Experience using analytics software.
  • Ability to develop in Adobe suite of design products.
  • Knowledge of Zoho or equivalent CRM applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented.

SKILLS, ABILITIES, QUALIFICATIONS OR EXPECTATIONS

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding customer and company data, including Customer Proprietary Network Information (CPNI) security.
  • Must have an aptitude to learn technology services and products.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of attention to detail, schedules, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously and with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to accurately perform basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, division, percentages, fractions, and ratios.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

REPORTING STRUCTURE

  • The Marketing Specialist reports to the Marketing Director and works closely with all departments at Norvado.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

  • Standard office environment.

EQUIPMENT & TOOLS

  • Daily use of computers, telephones, smart devices, calculators, copiers, fax, and printers.

CUSTOMER SERVICE/INTERACTION

  • Daily phone, written, and face-to-face contact with employees.
  • Daily phone, written, and face-to-face contact with customers.
  • Occasional phone and written contact with vendors to complete job tasks.

OTHER

  • Occasional overnight travel required.
  • Occasional travel by air is required.
  • Occasional travel by vehicle required.
